Covid-19: Keeping your phones clean
Your phone is not exempt from Covid-19's widespread disturbing effects, so exactly how do you intend to keep it clean?
People around the world are quite aware of the infectious
Covid-19's presence and contagious nature, but they are still not doing enough
to stop the virus in its tracks. There is probably little that the general
public can do to reduce this disease's virulence, but this does not mean that
we can avoid making efforts. Efforts such as washing your hands for 20 seconds
with bar soap and water regularly during the day, as suggested by disease
control and prevention centers (CDC) are saving lives for many.
Collective
Efforts
It is the power of collective efforts that has helped us
successfully develop vaccines that are almost 95 percent effective, and it will
help us fight this virus through the power of collective effort and faith. And
how does your phone come into action, exactly? How does your cellular system
help to spread the virus and how do you keep it clean?
Ignorance
can cost you
Well, you are very unaware of your movements when you are out
shopping or doing errands, and reach times and again in your pocket to use your
mobile phone. You just contaminate your phones as you hit the phone again and
again without washing your hands before. Unknowingly, the germ transfer takes
place right under your nose and since you do not see germs, you are not able to
distinguish.
Contamination
through Corona
It's happening right now, with a coronavirus around us. Your
phone could get virus particles on it which could potentially serve as a
contaminated surface that can lead to
cross-contamination and then infect others in turn. On average, your
phone contains far more germs than you would imagine and so, corona or no
corona, whenever you get the chance, you should clean your phone.
How to keep
your phone clean?
During the pandemic, you can wash your hands with Dettol soap
as soon as you come home and clean your phone with antibacterial wipes or
alcohol swabs with 70% alcohol in it.
Then try to sanitize your hands with a hand
sanitizer that is certified by the environmental protection agency if
you are out and about and cannot get your hands on some soap and water (EPA).
Doing that will destroy the virus on your hands and even though you contact
your phone later deliberately or accidentally, for that matter, you would not
pass some kind of virus or germs.
Make sure you get all of the sides of your phone when you use
a swab or antibacterial wipe to wipe it down. Also, try to clean the cover of
your phones if you can, because that is one thing we don't pay attention to.
For successful results and improved protection from the coronavirus, make this
habit a part of your hygiene routine.
